Mission Statement:

The Kuwait Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is an educational body committed to cultivating clinical excellence, surgical innovation, and professional competency. It is a 5-year journey aimed at becoming a nucleus of national leadership, extending its influence through regional collaboration and establishing global recognition through its graduates. The program upholds integrity, compassion, academic excellence, and patient safety, all within the framework of Kuwait’s national identity and Islamic cultural values. It fosters resident autonomy, self-drive, and a commitment to lifelong learning, preparing graduates to serve a rapidly expanding population with increasingly complex healthcare needs.

Strategic Goals

Educational Leadership

  • Deliver a hybrid, evidence-based curriculum integrating dentistry, medicine, and surgery.

  • Promote autonomy, critical thinking, and self-directed learning among residents.

Clinical Excellence

  • Train residents to manage the full scope of OMFS from trauma and pathology to reconstruction and aesthetics.
